I have been a bit obsessed with Les Miserables lately. I started drawing this after I saw it performed for the first time. I think this is one of the most dramatic moments in the whole musical. I love Javert's character. His transition from absolute, unwavering certainty to complete doubt is amazing and his inability to deal with the fact that there are moral greys in the world really make him a memorable character. I don't think he's a "Bad Guy," per se, just misguided.
